The Commonwealth Cup
Ah yes it's Commonwealth Cup weekend in the Old Dominion. Another chance for noted former NFL genius Al Groh to run Don Quixote like into the windmill that is Virginia Tech. It would be hard to top a 38 point beat down in Charlottesville last year, but hey with Groh anything is possible.
Al is an amazing 1-9 on the road against ranked teams. And for this of course he got a lengthy and expensive contract extension in the off season. At the time he was paid more then Frank Beamer. Groh, he of the 0 ACC Championships was being paid more then Beamer and his 4 Conference titles, National Coach of the Year and 2 time ACC coach of the year (in just 2 years in the league). Makes perfect sense to me! That's why Craig Littlepage gets paid the big bucks in Hooville.
Michigan-Ohio State was a playoff game since we are stuck with the BCS. There should be no rematch. Give someone else a shot at Ohio State. Not that anyone else will beat them.
